Dr. Wayne M. Whalen  D.C., FIACN, FICC

Dr. Whalen is a 1986 graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic-West, and a former emergency and medical helicopter nurse, with more than 40 years of clinical experience. He is Board Certified in chiropractic neurology, and was elected a Fellow of the International College of Chiropractors by his peers. He has served as president of the California Chiropractic Association, and is Emeritus chair of the Council on Chiropractic Guidelines and Practice Parameters (CCGPP), the organization that evaluates and promotes science-based guidelines for the chiropractic profession. He has numerous publications in the scientific and professional literature, and co-authored the national low back chiropractic practice guideline. He is also widely regarded as an expert in workers compensation disability evaluation in California. Dr. Whalen is the co-founder of Empowering Health Network, Inc. and Help What Hurts, and oversees content and ratings for the site. His goal is to help patients make better informed decisions based on relevant, science-based information.

Dr. Ronald J. Farabaugh D.C.

Dr. Farabaugh has been in practice since 1982. In 2014 he was elected to the Council on Chiropractic Education (CCE), as a Councilor-Category 2, representing clinicians. 2015-National Physical Medicine Director for Advanced Medical Integration Group, LP. Past Chairman 2009-Council on Chiropractic Guidelines and Practice Parameters (CCGPP) President: Ohio State Chiropractic Board 2012-2013; appointed by Governor Strickland Past President-Ohio State Chiropractic Association (OSCA) 1996-1997; served as treatment guideline chairman. Past President-Central Ohio Chiropractic Association. In 1994 he was appointed by Governor Voinovich to serve on the Healthcare Quality Advisory Council to help design managed care programs for the BWC, specifically QHP. He is also founder of the popular Chiropractic Bootcamp and Practice Revolution seminars, unique, fast-paced, exciting seminars that blend evidence with clinical decision-making and marketing, along with sound business systems. Dr. Farabaugh practiced in Ohio from 1982 to 2018. He sold his practice in 2018 and now serves the chiropractic profession in the capacity of the VP and National Physical Medicine Director for Advanced Medicine Integration, LLC (AMI), home office in Highland Park Illinois.

Dr. Barbara Hales M.D.

Barbara Hales, M.D, also known as The Medical Strategist has been seen on ABC, CBS, NBC and FOX News.  She has also been cited in Newsweek.   Dr. Hales, a skilled expert in health, practiced medicine for 3 decades and shares the inner workings of healthcare today, discussing relevant medical issues. She not only helps you to understand healthcare but also how to get the most benefit from it while avoiding today’s medical pitfalls.   Dr. Hales publishes a newsletter called The Medical Strategist, which highlights current medical issues. Her book “Power to the Patient: The Medical Strategist” became an Amazon best seller in the first week of publication.   Her two latest talks are: 1. Dr. Moses Jacob D.C.

Dr Jacob graduated from Cleveland College of Chiropractic in 1976, and has an undergraduate degree in psychology and English from Rutgers University. He has more than 37 years of experience as a treating chiropractor, and is widely regarded as an expert in workers’ compensation disability evaluation. He has taught courses for other doctors on report writing, and has been published in the peer-reviewed literature. He also has served as on the California Chiropractic Association’s workers compensation committee for many years, as well as its ethics committee and editorial board. Now semi-retired, he continues to do medical-legal work and enjoys providing evidence-based articles to help patients learn how to better care for their conditions.

Spencer Schreckengaust DPT

Spencer Schreckengaust graduated Summa Cum Laude from Wake Forest University in North Carolina in 1996. He graduated from USC with his Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 1999. In 2002 he became a Board Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) (APTA) and currently is a Clinical Director at Gaspar DPT. Dr. Schreckengaust specializes in orthopedic injuries, athletic injuries, sports medicine, knee, spine and shoulder injuries, foot/ankle injuries, post-surgical treatment and TMJ disorders.

Jay Herrera DPT 

Jay Herrera, DPT graduated from IUPUI with his Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2006. Dr. Herrera has since embarked on a journey specializing in musculoskeletal and neuromuscular pathology orthopedic management. He utilization manual therapy and other hands-on physical therapy procedures to help people reach their peak potential in physical rehabilitation and health.

Dr. Lisa Thomson D.C.

Dr. Lisa Thomson is a board certified Doctor of Chiropractic in the greater Los Angeles area.  She specializes in treating athletes, sports injuries and sports performance.  Due to her extensive knowledge in the areas of human biomechanics and functional movement, she is considered an expert in her field and speaks at events all over the country.

Dr. Thomson is a Upstate New York native and a graduate of the State University of New York at Plattsburgh. At Plattsburgh she was a member of Omicron Delta Kappa, the national leadership honor society, was selected to be on the Who’s Who in American Colleges and Universities list and was captain of the women’s soccer team. She is a graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic, Florida Campus. Dr. Thomson currently sits on the Board of Directors for the California Chiropractic Association.
